·Well, the short answer is only I know how I want the lyrics to sound like and what genre they should be. A band would create its own version of my lyrics using their sound and would be nothing like what I would choose — making it their song with my lyrics but not my vision. It would still be original but not mine. I don't clone voices or use other people's music. This way it is the best interpretation of my unique version of my song, making it 100% original and 100% mine.
Why so many different genres?
·I love this question and the answer is simple. As a listener myself I personally love multiple artists and genres as it's the music itself that draws me in no matter the style or genre. As an artist it's just as important to me to be able to express a range of styles that I feel my lyrics fit with the best.
